THANK YOU for all of the support throughout the community. The Grindline design team along with the youth from Sk8Gypsum created a skatepark for all ages to enjoy, making a safe pattern and flow to the new Gypsum skate park.

Hours are sunrise to 10pm.

Please leave the park nicer than you found it and ENJOY!

Community Involvement

A note from our Crew

"My favorite part is probably just seeing how psyched everyone is for this new park AND the fact that it's being built so quickly. I learned that having a teen active community with the Town Council really helps bring full community and can allow us to have great things like this skatepark." - Fia Scott - Eagle Valley High School - 11th grade - They Them

"My favorite part about being involved with the skate park project was finding the courage and strength to get back up after one has hit the concrete. Moreover, this courage and confidence that I found has helped me with a lot of daily tasks, such as public speaking, and more. It's truly made me grow into what I consider a strong person. To me, the groundbreaking ceremony was quite unique. A lot has happened since I joined, and to actually be starting the Skate Park project and going to be able to skate at the park soon that I helped pick out and work on coming true is very exciting. I am most excited to skate the fresh concrete and enjoy a luxurious new skate park with my few friends. The biggest lesson I have learned through this project is that persistence and patience is one’s biggest virtue. Finding the time to sit down and work hard on projects is quite hard, especially doing it nonstop for a few years (Shout out to Mrs. Vanvalkenburg). So in conclusion, I have learned to not give up when it comes to things you really care about." - Louisa Sepmeier - Red Canyon High School - Grade 10 - She/Her

"My favorite part about being involved in Gypsum’s new skatepark is simply just the hype and build up that has been surrounding it since the project has started. I’m most excited to have a quality skatepark built by the people who know exactly how to do it, the right way. It’ll be a huge upgrade compared to the current Gypsum skatepark. Taking into consideration the entire process of this project. I’ve learned that all things take time and dedication, and dedication is the most important aspect of it all. This project has had so many great people involved in supporting and working on it from the very start, and if they didn’t have the dedication for a better environment. we wouldn’t be talking about Gypsum’s new skatepark."  -Victor Sandovol - EVHS Graduate - he/him

"My favorite part about being involved is the connection it gives me to the valley, after only recently moving here this project has given me a sense of place and pride in myself and my peers. It felt a little relieving seeing a friend accomplish a dream they had worked towards for over a year and the excitement I felt for them. I'm most excited to be able to take my little brother once it is built and teach him to skate. I learned that this stuff takes a lot of time and effort and most of all asking for help when you need it whether that be money, planning or event ideas." - Isaiah Matinez - Red Canyon, 12th grade - He/Him/His

Grindline has been selected to design and build our new skatepark. This is the full design that has been approved by the town. There will also be a custom welded sponsorship wall and skateable benches, as well as a shade structure.
