Skatepark Art

In our skate community we were presented with an amazing opportunity to paint a pice of art at the gypsum skate park through permission of the town. 

Sk8 gypsum students collaborated with the community in many different ways: students learned how to scale up art from Bobby Lopez, researched to learn the right materials to make the art last on our skate park, and worked with EVHS student artist Mars basso who encompass the spirit of a dragon in their piece. 

We hope this inspires the youth of our school communities of Eagle County to come together creatively and properly showcase youth art at our local skate park. The call for submissions will run every 3-5 years. Dream big for your turn at showcasing art properly in our community. Until then, please continue to respect the art and the park keeping our concrete clean.
