A TOOLKIT FOR SCHOOLS AND EDUCATORS from Common Sense.org
"For kids, digital life is real life. It's where they build friendships, take a stand on issues, and do so much more. Schools and educators with a commitment to digital citizenship can use this toolkit to find valuable tips and tools to share with families."

Our beautiful Senior High Library Media Center started as a gym with a stage when first built in the 1930s. The high school library was located in what is now the High School Main Office. In the 1980s, a new gym was built, and after serving as temporary classrooms, the former gym was redesigned as a modern media center. (During the transition, books were checked out from a trailer in front of the building!) Today, Ellenville's Senior High Media Center houses over 10,000 titles and extends beyond the building to provide access to dozens of online materials including e/audio books, databases, and reference materials.
