Grant Application

Classroom and Field Trip Requests:

Grants for classroom needs and field trips are available using the Grant Request form.  You have two options. 1) request grant before purchasing items, or 2) request reimbursement after the fact.  Please be aware that we cannot guarantee a full refund for items already purchased. Grants requests will be reviewed by our Grants Committee and answered as quickly as possible.  Grants are accepted throughout the year. Teachers may submit more than one request and are encouraged to work together.

Please include a detailed description of who will be involved with the program and a budget. For instance, let us know the number (but NO NAMES) of students affected and a breakdown of individual costs such as tickets, transportation, food, activities, etc. Make your request as detailed as possible. Anticipate questions.  If requesting funds to buy supplies, please provide links to them, such as an Amazon wish list.

If you have already used private funds and seek reimbursement, please indicate as such on the form and include receipts.

Before submitting your request, please have your principal review and sign the form. This does not guarantee approval from our grants committee.

Individual Student Assistance:

If you have used personal funds to assist an individual student in your classroom, there are funds available for that, as well, thanks to donations from the Optimist Club and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. If you are seeking assistance with expenditures for individual students, please use the Individual Student Needs Request.

Funds raised through our fundraisers, private donors, St. Paul's Church, and the Optimist Club, in addition to the support we receive from the Town of Edenton, enable us to provide these grants to teachers and clubs. If you are a teacher or a club organizer in a Chowan County school, please use these forms to request funds.
