Adventurous Journeys

Most of our weekends are taken up running International Award Adventurous Journeys for UAE schools. These are predominantly Bronze (2 days) and Silver (3 days) with the occasional Gold (4 days).

We have scoured the UAE for safe routes and prepared our own topographic maps for the students to use.

Our main role is in keeping the students safe and getting them back on the right track when they get lost but we also spend quite at lot of time (particularly on practice journeys) working with the students to get their navigation skills up to date.

The majority of our routes are situated within a 30 minute drive of Al Sahara. Most routes follow the wadis through the Hajar mountains between Al Ghail and Dibba, but we also have routes through the desert and at the iconic Fossil Rock.
