Dr. Ayman Talal Yousef of the Arab American University, is a Palestinian political scientist and professor specializing in political science, international relations, conflict resolution, peace studies, democratization, civil society, and the Palestinian question. He earned his PhD in Middle Eastern Studies from M.S. University of Baroda in India in 2000 and has received international fellowships including Fulbright, Marie Curie, DAAD, and Erasmus+. He has also been associated with the university's Conflict Studies Research Center, where his work focuses on conflict, reconciliation, peacebuilding, and Palestinian political and social movements.
His major research interests are conflict and peace studies, civil society and political elites. His latest article is the vitality of popular resistance in transforming the conflict with the Occupation in Palestine, published in Conflict Studies Quarterly.
Project Management Specialist
Ahmed works as a Project Management Specialist in the water and sanitation sector, and works at the crossroads of water security, climate resilience, and sustainable water management, both in his professional role and as a climate change activist. His work also spans stakeholder engagement, and he champions practical, community-based solutions such as water reuse and sustainable irrigation, working closely with communities and partners to turn field experience into lasting, water-secure, climate-resilient impact.

Rawan Saqfalhett is an EFL educator in Palestinian public secondary schools and a PhD candidate at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in Spain, where her research focuses on artificial intelligence and study habits in Palestinian higher education. She holds an MA in Intercultural Communication and has developed extensive international experience through educational and intercultural programs, including the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) at the University of Montana and its alumni activities in Costa Rica, the CrossCulture Programme (CCP) in Germany, and the AFS Global Educators Academy in Geneva. She has also presented her educational work at international TESOL conferences and events in the UAE, Egypt, and the United States, including the 2026 TESOL International Convention in Salt Lake City.
Alongside her work in language and global education, Rawan is actively engaged in environmental education and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Following her participation in EcoPeace Middle East’s National Teacher’s Training, she has translated this learning into her school context through student-centered environmental activities and awareness initiatives. She has organized environmental and SDG-focused days and exhibitions and developed activities connecting sustainability with students’ everyday lives, including the use of football to promote environmental awareness. Through these initiatives, she aims to turn professional and international learning experiences into practical opportunities for students to explore environmental challenges and recognize their role in creating positive change within their communities.
