Joining the ECOMS Committee

To join the ECOMS Committee, there are four intakes each year, one of which is exclusively for first-year students. Please follow our Instagram to see the most up-to-date information on committee recruitment opportunities.

Fresher Elections

Each year, eight first-year students are elected to join the ECOMS committee for the academic year. This typically takes place in Week 3 of Semester 1. Only people in their first year of undergraduate studies are eligible (beginning in Semester 2 of the preceding year or Semester 1 of the current year). Look out for further eligibility details and information on our social media.

Semester One Recruitment

Towards the end of Semester One, ECOMS recruit new members based on internal resourcing needs. This involves an application and interview process to be selected for the position. 

ECOMS Elections

In the second half of Semester Two, we hold our annual election process. This includes electing the President, Vice President of Education , Vice President of Events, Secretary, Postgraduate Representative, International Representative, and Events Officers.

Semester Two Recruitment

Following Elections, the newly elected executive team open the application and interview process for the remaining committee and executive positions, including Treasurer, Marketing Director, Partnerships Director, Ordinary Committee Members, Education Officers, Marketing Officers, Partnerships Officers, and Events Managers.
