You WILL need to edit or tweak your code and programs
Check and change prox.ground reflected values for white, grey and black for your rover in your programs
Use your math formulas to sort out distances/times/angles
Mark up your map with course, measurements, results
There will be some communications issues with rover...
When in doubt, hit the Stop Thymio button
Uncheck Auto (data refresh) in Aseba Studio
Watch the prox.ground.reflected sensor & the motor.target values to see what is going on real time using refresh button
Careful clicking Run or forward or turn more than once... patience....
If you lose connection, wait... if it does not return after a minute, restart Aseba.
GOING TO BE HARD & YOU WILL HAVE TO SOLVE UNFORESEEN PROBLEMS ... and TEST TEST TEST & Double check everything!
Mission Tasks
Now that the team of rovers have made it to Mars, your team needs to work with the 3 other teams in your Sector in order to diagnose damage and begin repairs to the station. There may be some unexpected damage or problems to solve once we see results.
Continuously mark up your map with info, measurements & path travelled (15 pts per team)
Get out of lander and identify rover (10 pts each team)
Calculate scale of small map (2 X 20 pts for sector .... confirmed by at least 2 teams in a sector)
Navigate to black line & then outdoor door (10 pts each team)
Navigate through corridor into station (10 pts each team)
Identify debris on station floor (use readings from ground sensors). Indicate on your map. (5 pts for each correctly identified)
90 - Darkest grey: Basalt (volcanic rock)
80 - Dark grey: Martian soil/sand
70 - Light grey: Meteriote remains
60 - Lightest grey: ice/water
Move 2 control panels back in place. (15 pts each panel)
Separate O2 (heavy) canisters from H20 (light) canisters and move to proper corner. (15 pts each canister)
Diagnose generator function and count rotation frequency. (15pts)
There are also points for teamwork, sector coordination and map annotation.
