A context statement can be used as an introduction to the reader and helps the reader (and you when you start out) know where the essay will be going
it essentially has three parts
The What - explain in some detail what you will be writing about. Cover the subject areas, the background, syllabus links, local and global significance etc
The Why - tell the reader why this is worth researching and why they would want to read on. Again the background and global significance must be clear- Why is this topic even under consideration here?
The How - tell the reader by what methods you will try to answer your research question. Will you use interview, online literature review, primary or secondary sources, which sources are more valid and reliable than others etc.
The total statement should be around 250-300 words and will provide focus for you and the reader.
