The Health and Well-being lab is always looking for strong, undergraduate students who have an interest in health psychology, developmental psychology, biology, pre-med, or pre-health to work on current projects and collaborate on planning future research studies.
Students will learn a variety of research-related skills which will prepare them for a future in graduate school, non-profit work, or advocacy. These skills include:
Research Skills: Collecting physical measurements, conducting sleep assessments, administering surveys, recruiting participants, and administering informed consent
Data Analytic Skills: Using SPSS and Google Sheets
Critical Thinking Skills: Reading & critiquing empirical journal articles, conducting literature searches, and planning research studies
Communication Skills: Presenting research in small and large group settings
We prioritize students who can work for at least two semesters in the lab and students who have already completed Research Methods in Psychology (PS 200). If you are a current Eckerd student who is interested in working in the Health and Well-being lab, please fill out this application.
