Dr. Lyle (she/her/her) was raised in Ohio and currently lives in Pinellas Park with her girlfriend and two dogs. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Ohio Northern University, her M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, and her PhD in Health and Developmental Psychology from the University of Georgia.
Dr. Lyle has taught introduction to psychology, research methods in psychology, health psychology, and psychology of well-being. She is looking forward to teaching upper level classes like sleep physiology, psychoneuroimmunology, and health disparities.
In her free time, she loves seashell hunting at the beach, rock climbing, and taking her dogs to the dog park.
Adonaya is currently a sophomore at Eckerd College.
Andrew is a junior majoring in Psychology and Mathematics and minoring in Leadership. He is particularly drawn to biopsychology and health psychology, aiming to apply his knowledge to help others. Originally from a small town in northern Indiana, he intends to continue his education in graduate school after Eckerd. Andrew enjoys hobbies such as soccer, running, art, writing, and reading.
Eli, a senior, hails from California and has lived in New Mexico, Oregon, and Florida. His passion lies in Psychology, specifically statistical modeling for biological and social processes. He plans to pursue a Master's in Biostatistics, specializing in epidemiology. Outside of school, he enjoys playing rugby, reading, scuba diving, and snowboarding.
Georgia is currently a junior majoring in Psychology and Animal Studies and minoring in Marine Science. She plans to attend graduate school in the future to research the intelligence and behavior of large animals, such as marine mammals and big cats. Her passion lies in educating the public about our shared similarities with animals. Beyond academics, she enjoys singing, dancing, and reading.
Jesus is a junior at Eckerd College majoring in Psychology and Human Development, and minoring in Spanish. Jesus is interested in investigating mental health within marginalized communities. Jesus would like to attend graduate school and pursue a Ph.D. in psychology but he has yet to decide between clinical or research. Outside of class, you can find them at the park enjoying nature or reading a book on the beach.
Jordan N., a junior, is majoring in Psychology and Human Development. Her research focuses on mental health and wellness, and she has a special interest in children on the Autism spectrum. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology to practice therapy for children with developmental, neurological, and behavioral disorders. Outside of school, she enjoys gardening and spending time on the beach.
Jordan is a junior at Eckerd College, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Psychology. They are from Portland, Oregon, and hope to get back over to the PNW after graduation. Jordan plans on becoming a doctor in the future by first pursing a master's degree in molecular biology and then on to medical school. Besides school, Jordan loves to spend time outdoors, whether it is running, hiking or wildlife photography.
Mackenzie is a recent graduate from Eckerd College where she majored in Human Development and minored in Biology. She is currently working as an EMT and hopes to return to graduate school to become either a physician assistant or an athletic trainer. She loves exploring the outdoors, reading, trying new (gluten free) foods, and spending time with her dog, Mango!
Makayla is currently a freshman at Eckerd College. She plans to major in Human Development on a Pre-Law track and minor in Political Science. She is from Elmhurst, Illinois. Makayla is interested in changes that can be made in the United States' mental health care system. When she's not in class, you can find Makayla reading in a hammock or at the beach with friends!
