Our own maps of Fieldston with different variables and proxies! Data was collected through school-wide google form or on-site data collection.
This time, each pair explored their own neighborhood through mapping, whether about gym density or restaurant change over the years. Many of the maps were used as proxies for further exploration about the neighborhood, an extension of the school mapping assignment.

Each group chose a "Urban Fossil" from the communities around Fieldston, and told the story of the fossil and its relevance in the community. An extension of our mapping unit, the urban fossil mapping project allowed us to more deeply explore the communities and history of our school neighborhood.
