This year marks my fourth as a school librarian, but I have been working in education since 2011. Before teaching eighth grade ELA at SMAMS, I taught high school English. I earned a Bachelor's degree in literature and a Master's degree in education both from Louisiana State University; I also completed my certification in school librarianship in 2018.

My philosophy is simple--smile and let the students read what they want.
