Hi! My name is Garuka de Silva. I am excited to be your school librarian! I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from LSU. I worked in the city of Baton Rouge Library System for seven years in the teen department. There, I worked with the students of Capitol Middle School. I am looking forward to working with you!

I am from Sri Lanka.

I live in Baton Rouge with my wife, Juliette, who is also a teacher.

My hobbies are playing ukulele and piano.

Science fiction and fantasy are my favorites.
