Are masks and social distancing still required?

Mask are optional and not required. Please work with your teacher if you would like your child to wear a mask. Some Social Distancing in line is still required.

It is extreemly important that students follow the proper protocols set in place by the East Baton Rouge school system in accordance with CDC guidelines.

At this time, NO classes or grades at Jefferson Terrace Academy are virtual. It is still best to be prepared, though, in case it should occur in the future. Should virtual classrooms become part of our daily academic procedure, you will receive additional information.

Masks are no longer required but are optional. Mask are to be supplied by parents. We suggest you use child size masks. Students should always keep their hands to themselves.

Please supply your child with a bottle of water if they wish one. Water is available at school, but is in limited quantities and should be drunk in designated times. Water fountains are working and available during designated times. Water is NOT to be kept at a student's desk and only used during designated times

Quarantine procedures have changed. Close contacts are no longer quarantined; however, if your child is sick or showing symptoms (see below), please keep them at home or have them tested.

FREE COVID testing is still being performed at school on Tuesdays. All students are encouraged to take advantage of this.
