In EBRPSS we love our teachers and supporting staff! In order to show our appreciation we have created the Pop Up Pep Rally! Teachers and supporting staff participate in self care practices while at work such as receiving chair massages or guided mindfulness activities. In addition, district resources are offered as well as lunch being provided! Be on the look out for Division of Human Resources, we may visit your school soon!
The mission of the Mentoring Matters- New Teacher Induction Program is to provide a supportive, professional community for teachers with 0-2 years of experience and teachers that are new to the district, leading to more effective teaching and enhanced student learning.
Mentoring Matters Program Elements and Requirements:
Attend two-day district New Teacher Orientation
Attend a Beginning of the Year school-based orientation meeting facilitated by the Induction Leader
Complete the Beginning of the Year Needs Assessment Survey
Utilize the results of the BOY Needs Assessment Survey to guide the completion the Professional Learning Action Plan (COMPASS-focused)
Consistently submit all evidence of completed induction activities by assigned due dates to in the online system
Complete professional learning activities that are aligned with their Professional Learning goals
Participate in at least one peer observation per month or Master Teacher Observation with reflections
Participate in five hours per week of Mentor Teacher collaboration
Attend monthly and individual meetings
Complete monthly Mentoring Matters Feedback to Induction Leader
Collect, document, reflect on, and refine their efforts throughout the induction pathway
Participate in program evaluation
Utilize the results of their previous school year's final COMPASS evaluation to guide the completion the Professional Learning Action Plan (COMPASS-focused)
Complete professional learning that are aligned with their Professional Learning goals
Consistently submit all evidence of completed induction activities by assigned due dates to in the online system
