EBR Public Schools' PreK Application Process
FOR EBR Pre-K Programs
Complete online application and upload all required documents. You can pick three school choices.
(Round 1 is February 17 - March 15, 2024 )
Contact your school of first choice to schedule a screening for your child.
Receive notification of acceptance or waitlist status via email March 25, 2024.
Please accept or reject seats offered within 5 days of offer. If you've been waitlisted, please contact the PreK department at 225-226-7675 for available seats at other school sites.
The application will remain open for any families who were unable to apply in Round 1.
Pre-K Application Information

Students must be born between October 1, 2020 and September 30, 2021.
*Pre-K 3 programs do not require screening.
For a list of Pre-K 4 programs, click here.
Students must be born between October 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020.
Important EBR School Facts
Child must be Age 4 by September 30th.
Screening will determine Pre-K Eligibility
Families not qualifying under federal guidelines for free tuition may pay a maximum of $485 monthly
Pre-K is not required therefore there are a limited number of seats available

Up-to-Date Shot Record
Proof of Residence (2 Recent Bills: light, cable/internet, land line phone, water, lease agreement, or mortgage statement)
Proof of Income
2 Most Recent Check Stubs
SNAP/Food Stamp Benefits, etc.
