Welcome! I enjoy getting to know my students. Here is some information about me.
I am married and have two wonderful children. Joe is 11 years old and James is 9 years old. They keep me busy. I get to experience the world through their eyes every day. What a gift!
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, walking, and cooking.
I grew up on a maple syrup farm. I still remember the days of lugging buckets full of sap through the muddy and snow-filled woods each spring. I grew up with llamas, sheep, and chickens. At my home though, I only have a dog named Willow. I absolutely love nature, and I look forward to any opportunity to be outside.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English and Elementary Education at Bridgewater State University. I also earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from BSU. After teaching for a few years I found myself yearning to be a student again so I earned my CAGS as a Reading Specialist from American International College. I also hold a Doctor of Education degree from Northeastern University. My doctoral concentration was Teaching, Curriculum, Learning, and Leadership. I also hold an administrator's license.
I am very lucky. I have a wonderful family, and I have the best job in the world. I couldn't ask for more!
Learning is a lifelong journey. I look forward to taking a part of that journey with you this year.
