Good afternoon,
The children have had a fabulous week writing their letters to our local MP, Keir Mather. Today he came and visited the children and they were fabulous at questioning him on how we can become a more green country when it comes to electronic waste.
Coming up next week:
English: the children will be writing biographies based on civil rights champions.
Maths: Year 5 - the children will continue looking at area linked to multiplication
Year 6 - will be looking at multiplying and dividing with decimal numbers.
Curriculum: next week is our Learn Through week on influential people. We will be looking at civil rights activists.
Science: the children will be exploring what reversible and irreversible changes are
PSHE: Year 5 - Children will be exploring Whatsapp and appropriate conversations online and offline.
Year 6 - children will be learning about taking medication responsibly and the risks around drugs
Homework:
Reading: the children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown up.
Spelling: the children need to complete at least 5 spelling games per week.
Maths: the children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
