Good afternoon,
LKS2 have had another fantastic week. Our gladiator disaster stories are now complete and the children are so proud of their narrative writing! In History, we looked at what the Romans believed and then thought of historical questions we would like to ask a Roman to find out more. In Science, the teams completed their third Toyologist challenge and investigated if magnetic objects can be attracted from a distance or if they need direct contact. They developed their working scientifically skills by predicting what they thought would happen and concluding on their findings.
Coming up in our Creative Curriculum:
English: We will be beginning some vocabulary work ready for our new disaster story which will tell the exciting escape of some characters from Pompeii on that fateful day!
Creative Curriculum: We will be looking at the question 'Did we just roll over?' to see how Britain responded to Roman invasion. We will be meeting historical figures Boudicca and Cartimandua.
Maths Year 3 - We are looking at how to explain 100s, 200s, 250s and 500s, 1000 is composed of. We will then be moving onto our new unit of addition and subtraction, this week will focus on the column method.
