Good afternoon,
What a week! The children thoroughly enjoyed the school Easter Egg hunt on Wednesday and loved rewriting the Easter Story as a comic strip. It was great to see all the Easter bonnets this afternoon too, they were fantastic!
On Monday 8th April we will be kickstarting the Summer Term with an exciting 1960s workshop run by Dantastic Education. Please see the newsletter for further information. We can't wait!
In Maths the children will be learning:
Year 1 Maths
The children will be learning and explaining what happens to a number when a zero is added or subtracted. They will also be learning and explaining about doubling.
Year 2 Maths
The children will be continuing with division, learning about remainders when groups cannot be grouped equally and applying their knowledge of division to division stories and problems.
In addition to the PSHE lessons the children will be undertaking next term, we will also be recapping personal space and referring back to the PANTs lessons the children have been part of.
There are no spellings over the Easter holidays.
Please note there will be no reading book sent home over the Easter holidays with your child as we will be organising and collating the books.
We would like to say a huge Congratulations to Miss Williams on her upcoming wedding over the Easter holidays. We wish her all the very best for the future and hope she has a wonderful wedding day. Miss Williams will return to school as Mrs Elliot.
We hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday. Take care and stay safe.
Happy Easter!
Thank you
The KS1 Team
