Dear Families,
We have had a wonderfully busy half term in school and I am so proud of everything our school community have achieved. Yesterday we had over 60 children and staff join us from Horton Park Primary School in Bradford, this is now the schools second visit to us and we are so proud of how our children supported and cared for our visitors and how their friendships are developing. Next half term we are looking forward to going to visit our friends at Horton Park. Please do look at X (Twitter) to see the photos of our children and visitors building friendships and collaborating together - https://x.com/staynorHprimary
Please enjoy half term, I hope we get at least a little bit of sunshine! We look forward to welcoming all of our children and families back on Monday 3rd June at 8:45am.

As a polite reminder if your child is in after school club, can you please collect your children on time. We do understand there are instances where delays are unavoidable but would ask that you collect on time as we staff the unit in accordance with the number of children booked in and it is important that we stick to the ratios.
When your child attends After School please can we remind you to collect promptly before your session time ends.
This is due to staff:pupil numbers and to keep everyone safe it is important we adhere to these ratios.

What's Cooking?
The last group in Team Wharfe attended Cook School this week to make their delicious Queen Drop Biscuits, in celebration of the Victorians. They produced some lovely biscuits - definitely fit for a Queen (or King!). Well done to you all.
Some children from Team Humber also attended Cook School to make some delicious butterfly cakes, Victorian style. They worked so hard to make 72 cupcakes and then decorate them all in time for a visit from some children from Horton Park Primary School. I am told they thought the cakes were amazing so well done to you all. The rest of Team Humber will join me in Cook School after the holidays to make cakes in preparation for our annual Summer Fayre which will be held on Friday 21st June. Our cakes sold out last year so we will be making extra this year so please come along and support us at this fundraising event.
Lastly, and very importantly, I am in a position to announce our winners from the 'Bag a Breakfast' competition! We had lots of entries and the Year 5 PhunkyFoods Ambassadors had a really difficult time to decide who our winners should be. The lucky winners are Isla, Mara, Elliot, Elsie, Emily, Cerise, William, Austin, Jacob and Georgia. They are all spending an afternoon in Cook School with me, making a delicious Supercrunch, to celebrate their success. They also received either a PhunkyFoods water bottle, a PhunkyFoods Pen and a sticker. Well done to you all and a special thank you to all of those that entered. Everyone will get a sticker!
Wishing everybody a lovely week off. If you get time to do some baking, I would love to hear about it when you return to school. Remember to wash your hands and tidy up as you go along (including washing up!) and most of all, stay safe.
