Good afternoon,
LKS2 had a fantastic transition in their new teams and they really enjoyed meeting their new teacher and spending time in their new classroom. In English, the children published their fantastic Lighthouse Keeper narratives and they are incredible to read. We really hope you enjoyed our school art exhibition and seeing your child’s self portrait!

We have an exciting curriculum day on Monday where the teams will be experiencing what life was like for the Maya and making their own shelters!
English - Next week we have another exciting opportunity to enter another Young Writers competition, this time writing short saga’s about a period in History.
Maths Year 3 - We will be continuing our work on fractions greater than one and specially focussing on mixed number fractions.
Maths Year 4 - We will be continuing to focus on expressing and converting improper fractions into mixed numbers and mixed numbers into improper fractions.
PE Year 3 - This week York Knights are coming in for PE on Wednesday. Please can Year 3 come in PE kits on Wednesday.
PE Year 4 - Year 4 have PE on Tuesday and Friday and need to come in their PE kits.
PSHE Year 3 - We have finished our topic and will be scrapbooking all of our favourite memories throughout the year.
PSHE Year 4 - We are focusing on knowing that change is a normal part of life and that some cannot be controlled and have to be accepted.
Homework has been set today and is due in next Friday.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
