Hello First Graders!

My name is Mrs. Ames and I am your first grade teacher this year! While this year is going to be different, I promise we are going to make the most of it!

Just like you, I am a Weyerhaeuser Wildcat at heart. When I was little I too attended Weyerhaeuser! Even though it looked a whole lot different back then...

As most of you may know, I am going on maternity leave come early December. The lovely Mrs. Horiskey will be taking over the classroom and will become your teacher once I am unable to teach anymore!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Mrs. Horiskey and I am going to take over for Mrs. Ames this winter when she has her baby.

I taught kindergarten here at Weyerhaeuser the last two years and am currently finishing up my Master's degree in Elementary Education (Yay!) in Mrs. Swinney's second grade classroom.

I am really looking forward to helping out in first grade and cannot wait to see everyone, whether we are learning in-person or virtually. See everyone soon!
