The Authors of Cedar Ridge
The Authors of Cedar Ridge are Shelby, Bradley, Logan, Lennon, and Lily. They made books to inspire the kids of Cedar Ridge to be kind, don't bully, be respectful, use the 7 Habits. They used the software Gacha Club, Power Point, the Cedar Ridge website, and Snipping tool. Don't Bully is about these kids that would bully this boy because his hair was long, but the end was about how they understood to not bully people. Be Kind is about how this girl was saying mean things about this other girl, but then she realized that she needs to be kind to others. Colors Don't Matter is about how these kids bullied this girl because she was different.
Covid-19 Computer Dividers
The Covid-19 Computer Dividers are dividers that block the other persons breath that’s beside you. The dividers are helpful because they protect you from Covid-19. Lily, Zoey, and Lennon designed and created the dividers. They coordinated with the Cedar Ridge High School Agri teacher and students to teach them how to build the dividers. They used the Hardware HP computers and used the software Publisher and Google Docs.
Acts of Kindness
Here at Cedar Ridge, our students do many remarkable acts of kindness. Some kids use publisher and make notes for teachers and students, to send them anonymously because the most selfless kind of kindness is when you don’t take credit. We take our LIM (Leader In Me) program serious at Cedar Ridge. Many students from 3rd and 4th grade made these notes.
Covid-19 Reminders
At CRES we follow our Covid-19 protocols with caution and procedure. Our EAST students made posters to remind you to social distance and wear a mask. They also made the labels for the tables so students can sit in their assigned seat at lunch. Many students in all grades of EAST help on this public project.
Flippa Clip Animation
Flip A Clip Animation is a software where you can draw pictures, copy them, play them as a video, and make the illusion that they're moving. They use the Apple iPad's pen to professionally sketch a digital picture. They copy and past the sketch onto another page and play the pictures real fast to make it look mobile. It uses the software Flipa Clip and Final Cut Pro. The hardware they use is the Mac and the Apple iPad. The students doing this project are Lily and Lennon.
The Dearing House/Historical House project
The Dearing House is a historical house in Newark, AR. Everyone in Newark is proud of the house's rich history. The first floor of the Dearing house was built in about 1890 in the community of Akron, about 5 miles from its current location. It was moved by its builder, Thomas Dearing, to Newark in 1901, and the second story was added in 1914. So if The Dearing House burns down, a rigid storm hits, or any kind of natural (or human inflicted) disaster occurs and it gets destroyed, People will be devastated. But by that time, Shaylee will already have a mini 3D scale version lying in wait if they want to reconstruct it. I am using the software Tinkercad, Meshmixer, Cura, Paint 3D, and the hardware Ultimaker 3. Before I could even print it, though I had too fix the broked Ultimaker. I had to change the printcores and clean the printcores while they were still in the 3D printer. I also had to change the print material, take the heating build plate off and clean that, and Auto reset and Manually reset the whole way the 3D printer works. Some of the time, I even had to take a screwdriver to the back of it to clean it out and rearrange the PLA materials. But even after I fixed it, I still had to design it and use many forms of trial and error. I had to 3D print it and re3Dprint it about 5 times. But, finally it worked.
