Education is the way our society progresses and evolves. My husband and I firmly believe that our daughter's education is of upmost importance. (He served on the Board of Directors at Annabelle's previous school.) We have been so impressed this past year with EPA, and we want to see that excellence continue in the future. As such, we want to be involved in the process, not just for our daughter, but for all of the children and families who call EPA home.
Has 1 child currently at East Point Academy.
I am the owner of a successful law firm with offices in Aiken and Lexington, SC. I am active with SC Special Olympics, Leza's Care Connection, and various veterans organizations.
I am committed to raising the bar of education and have stamina and confidence in making hard decisions. I listen to all sides, support the classroom, and incorporate the consensus, needs and priorities of our Panda Family into strong policies. Overall, I am positive, flexible, persistent, strategic, and collaborative. Eight years in EPA leadership roles (PTO, SIC, Board) have secured deep relationships with administration, staff, and parents. And, four years on our EPA Board sharpened my ability to govern, respond and pivot. My professional background spans communications, business administration, education, compliance, project management and small group leadership - skillsets proven to raise board effectiveness.
For over 11 years, I have built my business from the ground up, and with that experience, I have had to learn how to manage not only the legal side of a successful law firm, but also the personnel/business side. I have routinely had to deal with finance issues, real estate issues, HR issues, marketing strategies that worked or didn't work, etc. I believe those skills and experiences would be useful to this Board.
