Hi, I am Mrs. Hanssen!  I am SUPER excited to be your third grade teacher. We will be doing many new and exciting things this year. I am glad to be a part of your learning experience and look forward to watching you grow and learn in third grade! 

After graduating from Kutztown University in May 2010 with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, I substituted in many districts; taught the Gifted Program at Shoemaker, Jefferson and Alburtis Elementary Schools, and have taught first, third and fourth grade at Wescosville.  In May 2018, I received my Masters in Elementary Education from Kutztown University.

When I am not planning lessons or thinking about school, I enjoy eating sweet treats, gardening, biking, hiking, shopping in Lititz, off-roading in our Jeep(s) and of course, hanging out and being silly with my family and friends.  

My husband Mike, is the Supervisor of Technology at Saucon Valley School District. He enjoys Sci-Fi, Jeeps, and most importantly coffee. My son, Austin, who also attended Wescosville Elementary, graduated from Penn State University. He loves to play golf, hike, play video games and hangout with family and friends. 

Guess what? SUPER EXCITING NEWS...On June 23, 2024, Austin proposed to his girlfriend, Erielle, while visiting Shenandoah National Park, in Virginia. She was really surprised!!! Erielle, also graduated from Penn State University. She loves to read, paint, hike and eat sweet treats (just like Me!). We are so excited to welcome her to our family!
