About Mrs. Valentine

After growing up in Beckley, West Virginia, I went to college with plans to become a journalist. An introductory psychology course piqued my interest and I decided to pursue a career in the field of psychology! As both of my parents are retired educators, school psychology was a natural fit for me.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wake Forest University in 2006. I made my way to Pennsylvania when I attended graduate school at Lehigh University, where I received my Master of Education in Human Development in 2007 and Educational Specialist in School Psychology in 2009.

Prior to coming to East Penn in 2015, I worked in the Muhlenberg School District (Laureldale, PA) for six years. At Shoemaker I enjoy working with the school team to provide academic and behavioral supports to all students in our building. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, lounging with my cockapoo, and trying new restaurants!
