Over the past 16 years, I have received many unique and thoughtful gifts from students and families. The kindness and generosity have always been greatly appreciated each year.
Each year, I spend approximately $1,000 on my classroom, purchasing new books, materials for color printing, classroom decor, school supplies, materials for special projects, rewards and more. I spend the money because I love teaching and want the BEST classroom. I want a classroom that students and I BOTH love being in! It's our home away from home and I hope my efforts to create a cozy and inviting place for learning is evident.
This year, IF you are thinking of contributing to our class wish list, thank you in advance. Please understand that this is in no way a request or expectation of gifts. I am only sharing these ideas that you may use if you'd like.
I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
Respectfully, Mrs. Szarka

I am so lucky to have twenty-one inquisitive students in my 2nd grade classroom.
ALL of my students will benefit from new high-interest resources especially those resources that have been specifically developed for a digital learning environment. I would like to create a stress-free learning environment where the children are having so much fun, they don't even realize they're doing schoolwork!
Teachers pay Teachers is a wonderful resource in our classroom. With your support, we will be able to purchase colorful, high-interest and engaging materials. There are many times throughout the school year when the children would benefit from additional charts or materials I could use to reinforce a new concept. These resources can always be found on TPT. I've even found some amazing group work activities the children will LOVE!!
