Hi, Everyone!
It is so nice to meet you! My name is Mr. Guignet and I will be your child's second grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Alburtis Elementary School!
This is my fourth year as an Alburtis Eagle. It will also be my twelvth year teaching second grade.
I am also one of the theatre directors for our Alburtis Theatre Program.

When I'm not running around the classroom having fun, you can find me running around the Lehigh Valley! Running is my favorite sport and allows me to relax in many ways! My first marathon was the Disney marathon! I've also done all of the Run Disney races! The best part is that you can dress up like your favorite characters and be a kid at heart! Some of my favorite characters that I dressed up as are Nemo, Peter Pan, and Gaston! In the fall of 2022, I ran the New York City Marathon on Team Lemon for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. It was amazing running through the Big Apple and hearing all of the nearly 2 million spectators (fans!). The biggest race to date was the Boston Marathon! Since getting into marathon running, it was my ultimate goal! In 2020, I qualified for the 2022 race! I'm so thankful for my health and fitness, which allows me to continue to train for 2 marathons every year!
Oh, the Places You'll Go! I love traveling to new places and being adventurous! In the fall of 2014, I completed my student teaching in Cape Town, South Africa and in the summer of 2019, I taught English for a summer in Ayutthaya, Thailand. It was amazing seeing the similarities and differences teaching across the world! I've backpacked all over Europe... some of my favorite destinations include the Amalfi Coast, Denmark, Florence, and London! Living in Orlando for 8 years, I was fortunate to have a Disney annual pass! I LOVE Disney! Trying something new that is out of my comfort zone is something I like to challenge myself with! I went skydiving in the fall of 2021 and it was the best/scariest adventure yet!
My family has always been there for me to get me through big life goals! In our class we will be a class family and I will be sure to celebrate all of your amazing successes! It is important to never underestimate what you are capable of doing! I use the saying, "Create Your Own Stage - what works for you, may not work for others!" I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and I didn't let any obstacle stop me! In the fall of 2014, I graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education with a minor in Theatre. I decided that after graduation I wanted to work for Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World. I participated in the Disney College Program where I was a cast member working attractions at Pirates of the Caribbean. In the fall of 2021, I received my Master's in Educational Theatre in Storytelling and the Arts at Adelphi University. I am currently studying at Lehigh University for Educational Leadership. I am always looking for opportunities to grow as an educator and want the same for all of my students! As a famous mouse once said, "If you can dream it, you can do it!"
