Throughout this school year, it is my goal to teach all students the various academic literacy/reading strategies that can be applied to mathematics and other subjects. Research has shown that students remember approximately 70-80% of what THEY THEMSELVES DO IN CLASS. As a teacher, I strongly believe that all students should take an active role in their education.

We will be working throughout the school year using various strategies along with Differentiated Instruction techniques and Cooperative Learning. It is my hope that students will be able to acquire the necessary tools/skills that will help them this school year and in the future.
