Meet Mrs. Krause....
Hi and welcome to my class website! I am so excited to start this school year. I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.Ed degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K-6th grade along with Middle School Science and Middle-Level English (7-9). I received my master's degree from Wilkes University with a master's in Educational Development and Strategies.
I currently teach sixth-grade Language Arts on team X-treme. This is my 16th year teaching in East Penn. I was very fortunate to have started my teaching career at East Penn. Upon graduation, I was offered to teach at Shoemaker Elementary School, and I taught first grade for five years. As my passion for teaching middle school grew, I was lucky to get the opportunity to start my 6th-grade adventure 10 years ago. I have been an active member of the East Penn School District by participating in various organizations, educational committees, and volunteering my free time for special events. During the summer, I spend my free time taking care of my soon to be thirteen-year-old son, Max, and nine-year-old daughter, Charlie.
I have four wonderful pets. Lucy, an eight-year-old boxer, has plenty of energy! My family and I just brought home a French Bulldog, Dougie, this summer. I also have two cats, Angel and Stevie, who love to spend their time hiding from Lucy and Dougie. I am sure you will hear more about their adventures throughout the school year!
I cannot wait to start this wonderful school year with you!
