About Me

My name is Miss Comer. I am the art teacher here at Lincoln on days 1,2&5 and Jefferson on days 3&4!

I have always loved to look at, create and experiment with art ideas and materials. When I was a little girl, my grandmother had a box of materials in her closet that she would let me create with. She would add new things to the box each week like egg cartons, sticks, buttons, old paper.. it was so exciting!

In my classroom students get ready to explore new cultures, experiment with various art materials, and grow your art skills and knowledge! Be sure to always dress for mess because being creative means making a mess sometimes.

I was not always a grown up, this is me in 5th grade elementary school... Just like you! When I was this young, I practiced art ALL the time. I made A LOT of mistakes and very few masterpieces. Just like anything, to get better you have to practice, try, fail, invent, recreate and try again! It can be frustrating, but good art takes time!
