PREPARATION TIPS FOR STUDENTS
Before the Exam
Get a good nights sleep.
Set your alarm a few minutes earlier than normal.
Eat a healthy meal.
Update your chromebook by going to "Settings"➡️"Google Chrome IS"➡️ "Check for updates".
For paper tests, sharpen your #2 pencils.
Review the vocabulary for the test you are taking.
Practice, practice, practice.
Use online study resources such as Khan Academy, Crash Course, Albert.io or Progress Learning.
Familiarize yourself with the exam by reviewing the Item and Scoring Samplers.
During the Exam
Dress in layers.
Be confident.
Carefully read and listen to all test directions .
Answer all questions .
Answer every part of each question .
Show your work whenever possible.
RUN: Read, Underline, Note
Read the instructions at least twice.
Underline specific required actions.
Make notes as you read the questions.
Consider all answer choices before selecting your final answer.
Eliminate any answers you know are incorrect.
Review your answers.
Don't worry about students who may finish earlier than you.
