Students work on Language Arts for a significant part of their day. They write, read and respond, and work on grammar. The most valuable use of their time at home is to read a book of their choosing. This ensures high interest and connection to the text. In turn, students will get practical practice using the tools and strategies we study in school, while also working on their fluency and stamina.
There may be occasional work sent home if a student needs extra practice on a particular skill or if they have missed school.
