8th grade general music is a project based class with 3 individual projects to complete during Miss England's half of the marking period. Students learn about the connection between music and important historical events. They also look at their own musical history and create a "record" containing songs from throughout their life. Students will also explore why certain songs are important to music history and to society as a whole. The goal is to help students to become life long listeners of music and for them to understand why music sounds the way it does.
