How it works:
Students can potentially earn college credit based on their score on AP exams taken in May.
What to do:
Take your AP exams in May.
Send your scores through your individual College Board account.
Use the free score send option during the testing window (best done in May of senior year, this send will include any previous AP scores earned).
Important notes:
Each college sets its own policy for what scores they accept (usually 3, 4, or 5).
Sending scores early (by mid June of senior year) ensures your college receives them before fall.

Keep track of your various log in credentials, Net ID's, etc...
Save copies of your course syllabi, in case you need to advocate for yourself once you are in college
Check your college’s website for AP equivalencies and transfer rules.
If unsure, contact your college’s admissions or registrar office.
Scores and/or transcripts should only be sent to your attending college, not during initial application process
How it works:
Students can potentially earn college credit by passing the course.
By taking these courses students build an official college transcript.
What to do:
Complete the course and earn a passing grade (C+ is minimum grade most colleges will accept)
After graduation, request an official transcript from the college.
Send that transcript to the college you will attend.
Important notes:
Credit transfer depends on your college’s policies.
Save copies of your course syllabi.
