Reading Homework
Students will typically have homework 3-4 nights per week. Depending on scheduling, class pacing, etc. this may vary.
Each night’s assignment is about 10 pages of reading plus a response to a provided higher-order thinking question. The question for each night will be given in class and also posted on Google Classroom.
In order to receive credit for their homework, students must provide a complete response to all parts of the question for that night. If students do not complete the written response, they will not receive credit for their homework.
Please check in with HABs nightly, as students are given time in class to write down their homework.
Grading:
Reading Homework is graded based on effort and completeness. If I can tell your child did the reading and tried their best on the homework question, they will receive full credit for their homework that night.
Every 3 - 4 reading assignments, students will receive a homework grade (approximately a week's worth of homework), which will average together all the nights of homework.

iReady
Students will receive a supportive grade for time spent on MyPath each week. Students will be given time in class to complete iReady, however, iReady minutes may occasionally be assigned for homework in order for students to reach the 30 required minutes.
The final iReady supportive grade will be formed based on the amount of time spent on myPath by the end of the week. 30 minutes = 100%
Students cannot earn more than 100% for a homework grade.
