Dear Spectacular Sixth Graders,
Welcome to 6th grade! I’m Miss Centrella, and I cannot wait to be your teacher this year. We’re going to have an amazing year filled with learning, laughs, and lots of new adventures.
This is my 5th year at Mickle School, and before that, I taught 6th grade for 8 years at Caroline L. Reutter School. That makes this my 13th year teaching 6th grade literacy, which means I’m officially in my Taylor Swift Era! 🎤✨ I’ve always believed 6th grade is the best grade, and I’m so excited to spend it with you.
When I’m not planning fun activities for us to do in school, I love baking (especially sweet treats) and heading to the beach to relax in the sun.
Check out the fun facts below to get to know me a little better. I can’t wait to learn all about YOU, too!

Random Fun Facts About Me:
My favorite kind of cake is Red Velvet. Nobody else in my family likes it, though, so I don't get to have it very often.
My birthday is August 22. I turned 34 this summer (but if anyone asks, I am 29 forever).
I love going to the beach.
I am a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. When I was in college, I even auditioned to be an Eagles cheerleader! My boyfriend is a Dallas Cowboys fan, so we don't talk to each other during football season (okay, not really!).
I hate going to the movies. I don't have the attention span to sit still and focus that long.
I am scared of heights, so one of my biggest accomplishments was climbing Mt. Blue Sky out in Colorado. The elevation was over 14,000 ft. The best part, though, was that I got to throw a snowball at my brother in the middle of July!
