MCC School Kids

Notebooks and pencils are treasures for families who struggle to access or afford school supplies. MCC school kits are often requested after disasters as they help bring a sense of normalcy to children whose families have been forced to flee their homes.

Please assemble kits in reusable grocery bags and bring to church on Sunday Aug 30! Or, you can give online here. Your shopping list for exactly what goes in a kit can be found here. Please get the specific items as others will be wasted.

Bring your Parent to Youth
Sunday Sep 20, 6:30-8pm @ WHBC

Youth in Grades 6-12 (and their parents) are invited to fall launch! We will play games, get a taste of Youth Alpha starting October 5, and discuss what Youth looks like for the year (hint: another youth group is joining us for Alpha!). See you there!

Documentary Screening + Q&A
Saturday Sep 26, 1-3:30pm @ Danforth Mennonite

As the National Day of Truth & Reconciliation approaches, you are invited to a screening of "In Jesus' Name: Shattering the Silence of St. Anne's Residential School" (rated PG-13). Afterwards there will be a Q&A with producer Susan Emberg, along with Elder Michael Cheena, a survivor of two residential schools. Everyone is welcome. 

Fall Women's Retreat
October 2-4 @ Ontario Pioneer Camp | Register

We are once again planning to go to OPC's Fall Women's Retreat! Cost is $200 (you can pay a $50 deposit to secure your spot). Register here, then let Pastor Jen know you're coming. We will coordinate drives as the retreat gets closer. Looking forward to a meaningful weekend away together!
