Valentine's Day Party- February 12, 2:00-3:05
February 12, 2026- Valentine’s Day party the last hour of the day. Children may bring small toys, stickers, or other small items but no candy should be passed out as Valentines to comply with our goal of healthy bodies at Early Light Academy. Your student may create at home a Valentine’s Day box as a receptacle for their Valentines. It should be no bigger than their desk.
Here is a list of student names for our class. We have 24 students in our class.
A Day in History- On January 23rd we will be celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We will be participating in various activities similar to what they did in colonial days. Students are encouraged to dress up. Here are some ideas on how they can dress.

Field Trip Details:
Destination: Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life
Date: Wednesday November 5, 2025
Departure/Return: Leave at 11:30 and return at 2:30 pm
Transportation: School Buses
Chaperones are needed per class- 5 adults per class
Chaperones must complete a background check before attending field trips

If you would like your student assessed for the gifted and talented program at Early Light Academy, please fill out his form by Friday, October 17th. This assessment is totally optional.
Title 1 School- We are a Targeted Assistance School

Math websites for practice at home
Here are some websites you can use to practice math skills.
iReady Flight Fluency available through your student’s portal in Classlink.com They will use sign in with Google. They use the same log in as they do in school. You may have to add @earlylightacademy.org to their Google login
https://play.stmath.com/academy/modules/hs_started/ if you sign up as a homeschool student you can get free access to ST math. Your student should be familiar with this math program from years past.
