If you are interested in initiating speech therapy services with me, please reach out to see if I currently have availability.
If I do have availability we will need to complete the following steps:
Referral from your child's pediatrician
Copy of the front and back of your insurance card
Intake documents to be completed electronically. Once these documents are completed we can get you on the schedule for an evaluation!
What to Expect From a Speech Therapy Evaluation
Unless otherwise arranged, evaluations are conducted in your home and typically last about 90 minutes.
The evaluation begins with a conversation to review intake paperwork and gather additional medical and developmental information. This is a time to share your concerns and anything you would like me to focus on, while your child has space to play and become comfortable with my presence.
Assessment activities are play-based and engaging. While most tasks feel fun and natural, some activities may be presented in specific ways to better understand your child’s communication skills.
Because evaluations offer only a snapshot of development—especially for children under three—parent input is essential. Your insight helps ensure the evaluation reflects your child’s everyday skills, not just what is observed in the moment.
A Note to Families:
Seeking an evaluation can feel overwhelming and a little scary. Please know that I enter your home with compassion and without judgment. My goal is to create a joyful, low-pressure experience and to support both you and your child every step of the way!
