In-coming members must have:
Freshman: a ninety cumulative average during the first eight weeks at the high school.
Freshmen: No ISS or OSS
Upperclassmen: 90 cumulative average from previous years AND first eight weeks
Upperclassmen: No C on transcript
Upperclassmen: No ISS or OSS
Members must pay national and local dues to establish and maintain membership.
Students who qualify to join the Beta Club and turn down the invitation will not be allowed to join at a later date.
Students who do not qualify as freshmen may join after the first semester of their sophomore year or junior year if they meet the criteria.

Attend monthly meetings. (No more than 3 unexcused absences from meetings)
No Cs on transcripts
Each Beta member must complete four activities during the course of the school year. (2 per semester). A member must have completed at least 10 activities before May of their senior year to graduate with a Beta stole. The following list does not include all activities, but is a sample.
Adopt-A-Mile trash pick up
Beta convention competition participant
Blood Donor
Donating diapers and wipes for DFACS
Cancer Society donation (at least $5)
Relay for Life participant (if we have a school team)
Addressing and mailing cards to shut-ins
Honors Night activities
ECES Tutoring
Nursing Home activities
Patuala Center for Children
Peanut Proud Volunteer
Pennies for Patients
ECES Helpers at various times
Various other activities that may come up during the year
