Static Electricity: Getting Results from Experiments!

We have been learning to work scientifically and get results from experiments. We made static electricity with balloons (and our hair) and then tested it on different materials to see how they responded.

Flower Dissection!

Our Science topic for Summer 1 is 'Plants'. Year 3 carefully dissected some beautiful lillies to learn about the different parts of flowering plants, and how plants make seeds!

Can you identify all the different parts? What role do they play in the life cycle of a plant?

NSPCC Number Day

We celebrate Maths tomorrow in support of the NSPCC! Children can bring in their own clothes and we encourage £1 donations to support the charity's work.

Year 3 Jade took up the challenge to send mystery story-balloonist Ruby Delacroix our very best poems for World Book Day 2021. A chance to let imaginations and dreams soar in the middle of lockdown. Shade

Jade class have been developing their drawing techniques by adding shade and texture to their work. Those apples are looking much more life like!

Surrealism!

In our final week we are exploring the works of Salvador Dali and learning about surrealist art. Here were some quick surreal creations of our own! Look out for walking fish, fish that grow in the ground like grass, and houses with legs!
