Welcome to the 6 Blue's Homework Zone. Here you will find everything you need, to continue your learning journey at home. From practice worksheets to interesting web links, you will find all your needs are met here! Have fun exploring and don't forget your homework is due in on Wednesdays and handed out every Friday.

Homework Information

There are a few way in which you can complete your homework.

Option 1

View the documents on your computer and then answer / complete questions in your exercise book.

Option 2

Complete the homework online using either Google Docs / Microsoft Word (you will need to download the Googledocs app for free if using a phone or tablet)

Find the weekly homework folder on the Online Classroom and upload your Google Doc / Word Document.

Hand in your homework by pressing the Hand in button.


Option 3

Get a paper copy of your homework from your teacher and complete on the sheet.

Weekly Homework

You will only be able to access homework sheets from an "earlsmead.co.uk" domain address. Use your school account to complete your homework.

Don't forget to upload it to the Online Classroom - DO NOT share it with your teacher.

Learning your weekly spellings doesn't have to be a chore!

Increase your knowledge of the Year 5 spelling patterns and words lists by completing targeted practice sessions, playing games and testing what you have learnt on: https://spellingframe.co.uk/

Grammar

It is really important to learn all your times tables (and their related division facts) up to 12 x 12 . Not only will knowing these improve your confidence in all areas of maths, they will also be invaluable to your everyday life outside the classroom. Log in to your account and get practising. Just 10 minutes a day will make all the difference!

Extra Maths Practice

If you would like to consolidate the concepts we have been learning in class, Corbett Maths is the place to go! We use a lot of these resources in class so you will already be familiar with the content.

Math is Fun is another great website

Mymaths is used in the classroom and is a great way to practise your maths skills. Login to your account and get practising.

If you would like to practise the activities completed in class each day, head over to the Google Classroom. All worksheets and answers are uploaded online daily to help support you.

Ereading Worksheets provides teachers, parents, and motivated students with high-quality reading worksheets, activities, and resources aligned with Common Core State Standards. This website uses a skill focused approach where each activity targets a specific skill set, but you can also browse the reading worksheets by grade level (Ereading worksheets 2018).

Read Theory is a reading comprehension website that differentiates work (up to Year 12) based on your child's reading and comprehension abilities.
