Course Overview
Earth and Space Science (ESS) is a year-long course for 11th and 12th graders. It is a thematic course targeting three areas: Earth through space and time, Earth structure, and dynamic Earth. It will largely be project based, applying the skills and knowledge from previous courses and connecting them to Earth and its systems.

Required Class Materials
Students are expected to come prepared for class. This means that they have:
Charged iPad
Binder or folder with loose-leaf paper
Pens/pencils
Colored pencils/markers
Google Classroom
Google Classroom
Westlake High School utilizes the Google Classroom platform to share classroom resources, many assignments, and assessment preparation materials to students. WHS students will receive a classroom code to access these materials, submit assignments, and track any missing work.
