About Me
Susanna McConnell
E-mail: smcconnell@eanesisd.net
I am a Native Texan who loves learning and meeting new people. For college, I attended Trinity University where I double majored in International Economics and Spanish while competing in Division III Athletics. After college, I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching at Trinity University, and most recently completed a Globalizing the Classroom Fellowship with Harvard University.
In my past 15 years teaching, I have worked at schools in Texas, Guatemala, and Barcelona, Spain. I have taught AP Economics for 13 of those years and have had the honor of teaching unforgettable students from over 30 countries in the world. I now serve as a Master Teacher for the Council of Economic Education to help share my passion for economics with teachers and students across the world.
When I’m not teaching, I love time with my family and two children, traveling, running, and listening to live music.
I am eager to build more globally competent and economic savvy leaders for our future this year, and guide some students to pursue a degree or career in Economics!
