Hola! I'm excited to be teaching Spanish II at Westlake. I was born in Mexico City, I earned my Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the Tec of Monterrey, and a M.A. in Latin American Studies at Georgetown University.

In 2010, my husband Patricio and I decided to move our family to Austin where we have been very happy. Our three boys have lived here most of their lives, attended Eanes schools, and are avid soccer players. Lucas, Nicolás and Mateo keep us busy and active by cheering them at their games, going fishing or swimming in Barton Springs!

I have always been passionate about education, particularly as a means to reduce socioeconomic differences. With that in mind, in 2018 I started a non-profit called Subelee Biblioteca Móvil. It is a mobile library that brings books and reading workshops to public schools in rural Mexico.

I am new to Westlake High School as a Spanish teacher but not to Eanes ISD schools. I taught Spanish for 3 years with the Spanish Lunch Bunch Program in Forest Trail Elementary. I love trail running, rock concerts, and reading Latin American Literature and the newspapers.

I am grateful for the opportunity to get to teach Spanish and share my Mexican heritage with the students at Westlake High School
