Welcome to French 5,6!
In French V and VI advanced, you will continue your adventure into the discovery of the French Language and culture. This is a Post-AP class, so the material will be challenging, but but nothing you cannot handle.
You will also have a say in what we study, who we read, and how you will demonstrate your knowledge.
You will also have the unique opportunity to connect, network, compete with other French students - locally, statewide, nationally, though membership in the Westlake High School French Club and the French Grand Concours, the National French competition that is held every year in March.
Your school issued Ipad - charged and working for daily use
ear buds for your personal use during class
a French Binder to organize vocab flash cards and notes
wide ruled paper
a set of flashcards with a ring for the vocabulary
pens
a set of highlighters (for important ideas and grammatical rules)
2 boxes of Kleenex (please bring them at the start of each semester)
Westlake High School utilizes the Google Classroom platform to share classroom resources, many assignments, and assessment preparation materials to students. WHS students will receive a classroom code to access these materials, submit assignments, and track any missing work.
Please refer to the Google Classroom to see the Google Calendar and have a look at all the graded work and assignment.
