About Me

Bonjour et bienvenue a la classe de Francais!

I am Cora Claudel and I am so excited to be your child's French teacher this year. I am from France, was born in Paris and I just recently became an American citizen! I have a profound passion for both cultures and enjoy teaching students to discover the European culture and the treasures of France. 

I have a Bachelor degree in Political Sciences as well as a Master. I got my MBA in Finances with a minor in International Relations from INSEEC business school in Paris, France. I have taught creative writing in France, at La Sorbonne, and for the past 10 years I have been teaching French in AISD, all levels, including Level 4 AP, 5 and 6 Honors, as well as 4 and 5 IB Diploma. 

In my classroom I use a mix of authentic materials and relevant cultural examples that the students can relate to. I offer them the opportunity to have complete immersion with a day a week of using only the French language. I delight in using modern technology and love to blend different teaching and assessment styles for the benefit of my students. 

In my free time I enjoy horseback riding, sailing and spending time with my family, including my twins who are now middle school students at Hill Country.

This school year will be fun, full of discovery and achievements.
